To All My Friendly Commenter’s

I want to thank all my readers for the comments I have received. I have been writing posts for the past year and unbeknown to me, a large majority of my comments were in my spam. It has taken me a while to get them onto the proper posts.

Some have informed me that my rss feed is not working and hopefully that will be corrected by next week.

Others have asked about my template, I use word press. There are many free templates, and goggle search will direct you to them by searching : free word press templates. The one I used is http://themes.rock-kitty.net/.

I hope this answers some of the questions. Starting in January I am going to change my post schedule to the following – on The Older Man I will post Mon, Wed, and Fri, and Judowolf on Friday.

Once again, I apologize for not posting the comments in a timely manner. Thank you again and please continue to tell your friends about the site.

Feel free to contact me at any time and I will try to get back to you as soon as possible.

Have a Merry Christmas and a Healthy New Year filled with serenity.

Thank You,

Wayne

Capitalism Vs Christmas

CAPITALISM

Our capitalistic country has transformed Christmas day into the year’s biggest profit fest.

Merchants start pushing their wares while Johnny is taking off his Halloween costume.

Thanksgiving is a quick turkey with family members, a perusal of sales fliers, and going to bed early to be the first in line when the store ushers in Black Friday at 4 am.

Black Friday is a merchant’s delight as shoppers rush through the door like salmon running up stream looking for bargains.

Cyber Monday bombards us with their offerings on line, with deep discounts and free shipping.

December rolls around and the first twenty- four days merchants pound us with sales galore and extend their hours.

Santa Claus has replaced Christ, is the symbol of capitalism, as parents teach their children Santa is the present bringer and they must be good.

We worship Capitalism with money, while the true meaning of Christmas continues to fade away.

Capitalists use the name Christmas to increase their worshippers, and with Santa, attracting children cannot lose.

Capitalism has transformed the meaning of Christmas into a feeding frenzy of spending in the guise of giving.

December 25 is the date used to end the chaos, as the capitalists must rest to count their profits, and prepare for inventory reduction by year-ends resulting in more sales and profits.

CHRISTMAS

Christmas is a birthday celebration for Christ who many believe is the son of God.

Christmas has millions attending religious services celebrating Christ’s birthday, not worrying about the number of presents under the tree.

Christmas is family time not stressed out time over the presents not bought.

Christ received one gift from each wise men and a gift per person has more significance than multiple presents.

Christ is God’s gift to us and this is what we should teach our children.

Christmas will never die, but capitalism will, as it does not have a higher power.

Christmas is not about presents but the gift of love.

When we put Christ back in Christmas the true meaning will return and our lives will be better.

Procrastination

Wolf: Don’t deny it we all PROCRASTINATE. There is always tomorrow and we will do it then. Wrong! When tomorrow comes, something else comes up, and before we know it, are behind. Remember in college pulling all nighters, which was a rite of passage. If, you were one of the few who did not, you didn’t really go to college.

Judo: Whoa, wait a minute here. Are you saying if you did not study all night for exams, you were odd? I personally know a number of students who studied every day.

Wolf: Sure you did. Those boring humanoids never went to frat parties, never had wild sex, hardly ever drank or took drugs, and now make fifty trillion dollars a year. While the all nighters crowd is working at fast food havens.

Judo: Hold on just a minute I was one of the boring ones and look at me now.

Wolf: Oh, look at you! What a great example you are, over sixty, don’t have a profession or a job. You are a deadbeat. I don’t see you getting off your fat ass and looking for work. Talk about procrastinating! You are the champ.

Judo: You better watch it. If it wasn’t for me, you would have nothing.

Wolf: Yeah, if you would stop procrastinating and get a real job instead of this blogging crap we would be better off.

Judo: That’s the last straw. I’m done writing this post; I have more pressing matters to attend too. I will finish it later when I have more time.
