The United States is the richest country in the world, and children starve while the leaders concentrate on re-election. Politics and politicians occupy 50% of the nation’s multi-media broadcasts; political analyses outnumber the athletes in the NFL placing the public under constant bombardment from their repeated obnoxious babyshit. The media, a slave to ratings is intensifying their coverage for the re-elections in November while one in five children is starving.
Washington is in bi-partisan gridlock while millions are below the poverty level. Politicians only speak about this sham when asked; conservatives rail about the welfare rolls blaming the people for not wanting to work and liberals push programs resulting in a way of life impossible to break. The poor do not worry about the elections, but about their next meal. They do not need politicians blowing rainbows up their asses, however jobs and a way to feed their children.
The countries priorities are back-ass-wards when their concern is to remain in office while the neediest citizens go hungry. Every night the news needs to broadcast images of starving children, the homeless, the unemployed, and experts discussing ways to alleviate this travesty. Most citizens are charitable but when it is out of sight, it is out of mind. The time is now to broadcast 50% of the poor’s plight and the political bullshit every six months, as it never changes.
