Who Really Gives a Shit?

Now that the health care bill has passed where do we stand as a country? A simple question we should be able to answer.  There will be 33 million more Americans covered, those with pre-existing conditions cannot be turned down, insurance companies cannot deny people coverage unless they fail to pay their premiums. It is the most important legislation passed in the past billion years and the Republicans who didn’t vote for it are still riling up masses. There end is to continue to oppose the bill so the president will look bad. Every time they are on the media all they speak about are the elections that will take place in November and the number of house and senate seats they will reclaim. This bill was to assist people who were going bankrupt due to medical bills piling up because of lack of coverage or the insurance companies were dropping their coverage. People tend to forget the insurance and drug companies are for profit organizations and these people cut deeply into their profits. These companies have been in bed with the senators and representatives for decades and have given them millions in bribes and kickbacks to stop this health care bill. The people on Capitol Hill wanted the status quo to remain in effect so their lavish life styles would not be disturbed. If the bill had failed the senators and representatives would have continued in their ways and would continue to get nothing done.

The people who we elect to represent us are the most corrupt, spoiled bunch of old men who only care about their own interests and pass bills which affect a small amount of their constituents. These constituents elected them to look after their interests and those of the country. The past four decades they have only passed bills to fund and enact war and bail out money for the rich institutions of the country. This is the first time in our history when the terms Wall Street and Main Street have been bandied about as the people are mostly from Main Street and the ones who are still suffering from the greed of Wall Street and its institutions. The only way we will be able to have an elected politician represent us is if we fight for a constitutional amendment regarding term limits for senators and House of Representatives. The president can only serve two terms and yet a senator can be wheeled into the chamber at age 90 and vote on a bill he can no longer read, let alone know what it is all about. How can a senator or house of representative care for the people when the only thing they do is perpetuate a political system which is divided by party loyalty that only care about re-election. They have become so self-perpetuating there is no way they possibly can understand what the people on Main Street are going through.  The time has come for the people to start a movement to demand term limits for all senators and members of congress. If this doesn’t happen Washington will remain immobile and the people will continue to get shit on.

With kindest regards, Judowolf
